Manhattan on the Park on Bunda Street in Canberra City is a sought-after address.

Built in 2014, the resort-style living complex is close to both Glebe Park and the city shopping district and won the Australian Property Institute Excellence in Property Development Award and the Master Builders Association Excellence in Apartment and Units Four Storeys and Above Award in 2014.

We’ve come to know Amalgamated Property Group for this level of achievement and attention to detail and design in apartment-building in Canberra. The finishes to the interiors of these apartments are as important as the foundations they are built on, with high-spec materials and appliances fitted, and a feeling of space and light.

Manhattan on the Park is a glittering glass-clad building that sits on the edge of Glebe Park providing an ideal outdoor environment for children and families. A short walk or bicycle ride away is the Australian National University campus, Lake Burley Griffin and in spring, easy access to all the festivities of Floriade and concerts in the park in summer.

There are nearby shopping, cinema and food districts, and while there is onsite parking for the building’s inhabitants, if you work in the area there will rarely be a need to use the car. Braddon’s vibrant nightlife and shopping are close by, and there are a multitude of workplaces in the city that buyers or tenants can walk to.

McGrath Belconnen / Gungahlin Agent Kris Hellier has not one, but two apartments in Manhattan on the Park for sale.

The first is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment with a balcony the size of a playground with views over Black Mountain.

1401/240 Bunda Street has floor to ceiling windows giving a feeling of spaciousness and light, ample room in the bedroom for a reading nook or a study area, a covered balcony and open plan living with hi-spec finishes in the bathroom and kitchen.

1119/240 Bunda Street features the same hi-spec finishes, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, an equally large balcony, a larger kitchen area with dark oak, stainless steel and white finishes. The open plan living has a stunning view across Glebe Park to Mount Ainslie.

With two beds and two bathrooms, this would ideally suit a couple, or an investor or small family, says Kris.

“There’s currently a long-term tenant in the apartment, which has been very well looked after,” he says, “which would suit someone looking for an investment property. The returns on the apartments in Manhattan on the Park are very good.

“Both apartments would be great for investors, but equally as good for people looking for that city living lifestyle.”
